Gift Wrapping is an annual fundraising event held for a few weeks before Christmas Day at which volunteers wrap parcels for a small fee in Casuarina Square, Palmerston Shopping Centre and Mitchell Centre.


Somerville's Christmas Stocking Raffle is an annual event where a traditional Christmas stocking is displayed and tickets are sold at the low cost of $2.00 to the public.


SHARE Christmas Gift Appeal.  This Appeal is a joint venture between Target and the Uniting Care in Australia.  Somerville is the distributing body of gifts donated under the SHARE Christmas Gift Appeal in the Northern Territory.   The Appeal is run from the Target Department Store in Palmerston and Katherine where a Christmas tree is placed at the entrance for donated items to be placed.


Christmas Carols.   Somerville, together with the Darwin Chorale and Youth Choir hosts a family event of Christmas Carols, usually held in the third week of December each year.  All Welcome.


Community Sector Breakfast/Morning Tea/Lunch. Somerville invites members of the community to attend their quarterly Community Sector breakfasts, morning teas or lunches in Darwin/Palmerston/Katherine.  This is an opportunity to learn about the work of our organisation.  Persons interested in attending should contact the Executive Assistant on phone (08) 8920 4100.


Seminars/Training/Conferences. Somerville regularly holds in-service training for staff where members of other organisations are invited to attend.  Our organisation has a commitment to the ongoing professional development of all employees where possible.
