Katherine Youth Gaming Competition

In celebration of National Youth Week, Somerville’s Youth and Family Services in Katherine hosted a gaming competition for the community’s youth at the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre. The event saw children and youth of all ages and cultures join in and support of fellow players while enjoying refreshments. Alternative activities included colour therapy, Connect 4 and building marshmallow towers throughout the day.

Events such as these provide the opportunity for our staff to further connect with Katherine’s youth and provide mentoring by way of interacting and diverting youth towards positive activities during the school holidays.
