Renting things for your home – a handy guide

Check out this handy video by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) explaining how renting items for your home works, and how to get the most for your money:

An alternative to renting is applying for a No Interest Loan. Our No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) provides people on low incomes with flexible and affordable credit for the purchase of essential household items. The service is currently in Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine and loans can only be used for the purchase of basic household whitegoods, e.g. fridge or washing machine.

Visit our NILS page for more information on these loans and the application process.
