Celebrating NAIDOC week - a Yarn in the Park

Arrente, Tiwi, Larrakia and AUSLAN - some of the many languages shared as Somerville hosted "Yarn in the Park" earlier this month in celebration of NAIDOC week and this year's theme, "Our Languages Matter".

Kids, parents and grandparents from many heritages, including Tiwi Islands, Dutch, Arrernte country, Timorese, Larrakia, Scottish and Portuguese shared exciting new words with each other while savouring delicious sausage and onion sandwiches.

Somerville Katherine hosts annual Garden Party

Every year, Somerville Katherine hosts an annual Garden Party to thank our wonderful staff and partners for the work they do supporting the community in Katherine.

Sharing the sunshine and a delicious morning tea with members of our Board and Management, guests were updated on Somerville Katherine's current programs and enjoyed tales from our guest speaker, Toni Tapp Coutts - author of A Sunburnt Childhood.
