Winners of the 2016 NT Young Achiever Awards announced

Somerville Community Services is once again a proud sponsor of the 2016 NT Young Achievers Community Services Award.

The Somerville Community Services Award was one of twelve categories up for recognition in this year’s Northern Territory Young Achiever Awards. The Somerville Community Services Award offers opportunities to young people across the Territory to receive recognition for being inspiring, dedicated young leaders and for developing youth opportunities within their communities.

The winners of the 2016 NT Young Achiever Awards were announced at the Annual Gala Presentation Dinner in Darwin earlier this month. The overall 2016 Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year was named together with 12 category winners. The four finalists in the Somerville Community Services Award category were Alicia Kent, Jarrod John Rollo, Nicole Richards and Tristan Perriam. The winner of the 2016 Somerville Community Services Award category was Alicia Kent. Alicia received a $2,000 TIO Build Up Saver Account and a magnificent trophy.

Congratulations to Alicia, Jarrod, Nicole and Tristan and to all the other nominees. Somerville could not achieve the success we do without volunteers such as the young people that are nominated each year for the Northern Territory Young Achiever, Community Service Award.
